How do i read data from a usb flash disk? - read data from usb c language

My daughter is now with a USB hard ball with the task. I am new to computer languages, so please gently. He has done some work in school and trying to do at home. if it is plugged into your computer and try to open the file in Microsoft Works, says the file can be used by another application, the file can not install from a converter, or the file is corrupted bo supported. she thinks that the program uses the school was an editor, but I'm not sure what that means. Click Start, click "My Computer" and
Then, open the removable disk

All files are stored there and you can open it whenever you need.

If you can not open .. Yes, that means that you do not have the program on your computer and you need to install it. You can download online. Try to "download" more "program name" into a Google search and see if it will take you to a download page.
